Feature Film
This is the life size (the skull is 4-foot-long) high relief sculpture of the fossilized remains of Tyrannosaurus Rex, who served as both mascot and nemesis in the film Jurassic Park. This is example of the importance of research.
Brom Stoker’s Dracula
From the feature film, this life-size entry guard was carved in green foam. This is a compilation design adapted from several Romanesque style research materials. A silicone mold was taken, and more than 50 plaster castings of the sculpture adorned the set. This sculpting method adapts well to a variety of landscape sculptures.

Batman Returns
The feature film demanded this colossal sculpture, 50 feet tall as one of a mirror pair. The carving dwarfs the artists and crew at its base. An extensive steel armature was fabricated,  over which was sprayed Urethane insulation foam.  Saws-All's and auto body sanders were used to carve and refine the shapes. As shown it is ready for a patina.
An MGM Mascot
Light and fanciful, this cartoon style mascot is 5 feet tall and was created as a companion to the owlish character above to greet visitors in the MGM Grant Hotel and Casino lobby. The shape of this piece allowed for a direct fiberglass application over the green foam sculpture. After sanding and painting, the statue was ready to install. No mold was necessary.

MGM Grand Welcoming Committee
Working from drawings, Sculptor Thomas W. Pottage created this four-foot-tall greeter to welcome hotel guests.   Shown in progress, the figure was created using green foam, cast in fiberglass and given a bronze-like finish.
Hook Masthead
Carved for the  feature film Hook, this life-sized figurehead was created from light-weight materials, perfect for a variety of business and private special events. In this case, the figure-head became a feature at the cast and crew party. A number of surface materials work well with green-foam sculpture in interior applications such as window displays or as exterior figures or landscaping features.
